My Philosophy

I am a photographer who specializes in photojournalistic-style photography. This type of photography is not always what people expect, but is always honest and often captures moments that would otherwise be forgotten. For your engagement party, wedding, reception, portraits, or whatever the event I will provide you with a chronicle of your special day.
In the words of photographer Henri Cartier Bresson, "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy. For me photography is to place head, heart, and eye along the same line of sight. It is a way of life."

I have converted to high quality digital but still retain the capability to shoot traditional film on request.

SPIRAL BOUND PROOF ALBUM

I will give you a 102 image spiral-bound proofbook of selected (edited images) similar to what is seen below at no additional cost.

I have to say, these proofbooks are a really neat way to show your family and friends images from your wedding in one easy to view book! They are very slick, and they make print reordering a snap! Of course you can choose to add additional images (or even all of them) into the proofbook on a per page cost basis.

ONLINE PROOFING!!

I've contracted with a very cool online proofing company that will allow you, your friends and family, and even the guests at your event to be able to view all of your event's proofs by accessing a password protected page shortly after your event!

Online proofing will give you the ability to quickly view the photos from your event, and then choose only the photos you wish to have printed - saving you money in the long run, and you get your prints back faster! Once your order is placed, I will make any adjustments necessary, and have the order printed through my professional lab, and ship them to you. Easy and affordable!

Online Bridal Registry and Gift Certificates

Need a gift idea? In addition to the online proofing comes the online ability for the bride and groom's friends and family to buy gift certificates for the happy couple to use towards images and albums! The wedding couple is automatically registered in the online Bridal Registry and can receive bridal gifts in much the same way as a gift certificate. It's so easy!

Custom Designed Press Printed Books (Coffee Table Albums)

Press Printed Books are available in two paper options (standard or hinged) and several sizes including 5x5, 5x7, 8.5x11, 8x8, 10x10, and 11x14.

The books are printed with a durable masonite cover, and seven different material options are available including fabric and leather; and a custom printed photo cover.

The pages are printed on either 100# text weight semi-gloss paper or 110# semi-gloss hinged paper. The hinged paper allows open pages to lay flat as well as provides a thicker, more upscale paper option. Book pages are stitched together for added durability.

NEW! Laser Etched Images on Stone

I have contracted with a local supplier to produce laser etched images on stone. Black Marble reproduces the best image, but granite and other materials are available on request.

They come available in "Coaster sized" 4 1/2 inch sizes, 8x10, 12x12, and heart shaped.

These stone items make great keepsakes for the couple, their family, the bridal party, and friends.

Bridal Packages

ALL Packages include the $340 worth of prints / proofs listed above!

All rates include sales tax. Please note-the client will be responsible for charges incurred by going over the allotted time specified in their package.

Basic Package: $850 (up to 4 hours) Includes $340 Print/Proofing package

This package is for those couples that only want the formal portraits. You and I will come up with a pose list for your wedding portraits and will decide other details prior to the big day. I do not have a pose limit or image limit. I will shoot as many images as I feel is necessary to cover everything. Coverage for this package includes a portrait session, pictures during the ceremony and immediately following the ceremony. There is no reception coverage for this package, however if you would like me to stay for the reception I will charge $150 per hour. For extended reception coverage please see the packages listed below.

Half-Day Package: $1100 (up to 6 hours) Includes $340 Print/Proofing package
Full-Day Package: $2000 (up to 12 hours) Includes $340 Print/Proofing package

These "photojournalistic candids" packages offer coverage for either a half-day or a full-day. I do not have an image limit so you will have literally hundreds of images to view from your special event. Some brides opt to have me start the day with them as they go to the salon to get their hair done and continue to cover happenings throughout the day. If you have another photographer contracted to take your formal portraits, please let them know in advance of my presence so there will not be a conflict. I do not interfere with portrait sessions. Also, please get permission from salons or bridal chapels beforehand as well. Some don't want photographers taking pictures while they are working.

Album Package + Half-Day: $1600 (Includes $340 Print/Proofing package)
Album Package + Full-Day: $2500 (Includes $340 Print/Proofing package)

The album packages gives you the half or full day package, but adds in our top of the line Leather bound (imitation leather also available!) Contemporary Art Album as part of the package. By ordering together, I'll knock $200 off the album cost. I will personally design your custom album based on the photos you select. Simply choose your images, I'll put them in a custom designed album, and send you back a proof for your approval.

The Contemporary Album has a premium genuine leather cover, offering a timeless look and beautiful simplicity. Each book is packaged in a stylish custom designed presentation box.

(Optional) DVD of all Hi-Resolution digital negatives: $600

Getting a copy of all of your edited digital negatives on DVD will allow you to print your own prints straight from the DVD. I'll grant permission to copy, and you can keep an archive of your event on DVD.

Low Resolution Images also available! Add your gallery to Facebook or other popular online services. Not big enough to print, but will allow you to share your images with others. Details can be found on the proofing site.

Portrait and Engagement Sessions $300 ($100 Credit Available!)

This is a chance to have some very romantic, and personal images taken during a time when you are not so stressed about your actual wedding day. We can go to a park, home, or some other place that has special meaning for you (perhaps the place you first met?) and take your personal photos in a more relaxing environment and not have to worry about rushing to a reception.

Similar to the senior portrait package below, I will shoot for 2 hours at 2 locations of your choice. It includes your digital negatives and one 4x6 set of proofs all for the cost of $300. Each additional hour of coverage will be priced at $150/hour.

Receive a $100 discount if you book your wedding with me as well! If you'd like me to take your engagement and wedding photos, I'll give you a $100 discount on your wedding package of choice.

Senior Portraits

Bridal Snap Photography is now happy to announce the availability of Senior Portraits.

The standard package includes: 2 hours of shooting time at 2 locations of your choice, your digital negatives (Hi-Resolution digital jpgs), and one 4x6 set of proofs all for the cost of $300. Proofbooks or memorial albums are also available!

Each additional hour of coverage will be priced at $150/hour. I will use high quality digital for the medium unless film is specifically requested. Digitally enhanced images (ie special request digital touch-ups) are available at additional costs.

Announcements and Reprints

Personalized 5x7 post card style announcements are the standard way to invite everyone to your reception. I'm able to design and order your announcements for a very reasonable price and it even includes the envelopes!

Traditional wallet-size prints are perfect for your Senior to trade with their friends. Wallet prints are available in either square or rounded corners. Of course 5x7's, 8x10's, and larger prints are all available by request. Volume discounts apply. You should inquire for specific pricing and packages.

Mileage and Travel

I will travel up to 90 miles round trip at no additional charge. For longer trips I will charge $.50 per mile (Standard 2008 rate based on IRS regulations). I will travel practically anywhere in MN or ND as long as I have sufficient notice. I may add accommodation charges to your package price when distance necessitates a stay over.

Down Payment and Payment Terms

I will require 20% down upon agreement of terms and I expect to be paid in full by the time your event arrives. After the down payment you may pay incrementally until you are paid in full or you may make a balloon payment before the day of the event. For additional charges, i.e. mileage and/or hotel accommodation costs, I will add it to your package price and include it in the total.
