I am located in the Moorhead, Minnesota / Fargo, North Dakota area, but am available for weddings nationwide and also Japan. I speak both English and Japanese. My Philosophy

I am a photographer who specializes in photojournalistic-style photography. This type of photography is not always what people expect, but is always honest and often captures moments that would otherwise be forgotten. For your engagement party, wedding, reception, portraits, or whatever the event I will provide you with a chronicle of your special day.
In the words of photographer Henri Cartier Bresson, "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy. For me photography is to place head, heart, and eye along the same line of sight. It is a way of life."
This chronicle of your special day, along with reasonable prices and personal service, is what I offer to you. I have the capability to shoot both high quality digital or traditional film.

What You Get

You will keep all negatives and one set of proofs from your event. I put a selection of proofs in an acid-free album that you will be able to keep. You will be able to order your own reprints and enlargements without going through me, as long as you use them for your own personal use. I do offer high-quality reprinting and enlargement services through a professional lab for a very reasonable cost. A CD-R/DVD-R of scanned film, or digital photos is available for an additional cost.

Bridal Packages

All rates include sales tax. Please note-the client will be responsible for charges incurred by going over the allotted time specified in their package.

"Formals" Only: $650

This package is for those couples that only want the formal portraits. You and I will come up with a pose list for your wedding portraits and will decide other details prior to the big day. I do not have a pose limit or film limit. I will shoot as much film as I feel is necessary to cover everything. Coverage for this package includes a portrait session, pictures during the ceremony and immediately following the ceremony. There is no reception coverage for this package, however if you would like me to stay for the reception I will charge $150 per hour. "Photojournalistic Candids" Half-Day: $1100 (up to 6 hours)
"Photojournalistic Candids" Full-Day: $2000 (up to 12 hours)

The "candids" package offers coverage for either a half-day or a full-day. I do not have a film limit so you will have literally hundreds of images to view from your special event. Some brides opt to have me start the day with them as they go to the salon to get their hair done and continue to cover happenings throughout the day. If you have another photographer contracted to take your formal portraits, please let them know in advance of my presence so there will not be a conflict. I do not interfere with portrait sessions. Also, please get permission from salons or bridal chapels beforehand as well. Some don't want photographers taking pictures while they are working.

Portrait and Engagement Sessions $300

This is a chance to have some very romantic, and personal images taken during a time when you are not so stressed about your actual wedding day. We can go to a park, home, or some other place that has special meaning for you (perhaps the place you first met?) and take your personal photos in a more relaxing environment and not have to worry about rushing to a reception.

Similar to the senior portrait package below, I will shoot for 2 hours at 2 locations of your choice. It includes film, processing, and one 4x6 set of proofs all for the cost of $300. Each additional hour of coverage will be priced at $150/hour. I will use film for the medium unless digital is specifically requested. A DVD of scanned images is available at $10 each. Digital enhancements may add additional costs.

Senior Portraits

Bridal Snap Photography is now happy to announce the availability of Senior Portraits. The standard package includes: 2 hours of shooting time at 2 locations of your choice, film, processing, and one 4x6 set of proofs all for the cost of $300. Each additional hour of coverage will be priced at $150/hour. I will use film for the medium unless digital is specifically requested. A DVD of scanned images is available at $10 each. Digitally shot packages are available at additional costs.

Reprints: Traditionally, seniors will choose a variety of prints to share with friends and family. Available for reprint are the regular wallet-size (either in square or rounded corners), 5x7's, 8x10's, and larger prints by request. Volume discounts apply. You should inquire for specific pricing and packages..

Mileage and Travel

I will travel up to 90 miles round trip at no additional charge. For longer trips I will charge $.45 per mile. I will travel practically anywhere in MN or ND as long as I have sufficient notice. I may add accommodation charges to your package price when distance necessitates a stay over.

Down Payment and Payment Terms

I will require 20% down upon agreement of terms and I expect to be paid in full by the time your event arrives. After the down payment you may pay incrementally until you are paid in full or you may make a balloon payment before the day of the event. For additional charges, i.e. mileage and/or hotel accommodation costs, I will add it to your package price and include it in the total.
